What's the most you've ever spent on a gadget ever? What do you think would be your top dollar amount?

I think for it would've been a gaming laptop, which came in at over $1k, and then needed a few new video cards over the next couple years, which meant switching out the entire motherboard piece as well, boo.
 
The most I've ever spent was around the upward of $1500. It was a TV.

Which honestly pissed me off because a month later the same TV set was half off.
 
Think the most I've spent was for a tv, if I had waited a couple more months would have been half the price.
 
I don't tend to spend much on gadgets and technology, more than likely the most I have spent was $200- $300 on my new laptop computer. Even then it was a Black Friday sale. Even then I can't imagine I actually spent that much on it in the long run. But it makes the most sense for a brand new laptop.
One day perhaps I will learn it doesn't always pay to be cheap with these things.
 
I think the most I've spent is about 2 grand on a pretty rocking laptop. Given, that was several years ago and I do not have the thing anymore. I wised up to the fact that there is no good reason for me to spend that much on a computer. I am perfectly fine with the 400-600 dollar computers from a local department store.
 
I would have to say it was a TV, but I really don't consider that a gadget as it is pretty much a part of life. I don't call phones gadgets either, so I'll go with my NookColor. At the time, I believe I spent $225-250 on it. I can't completely remember. I also bought one for my mother at a later date, but that was after a price drop and with a coupon.

Oy, yeah, 2k on a laptop, no matter how rocking, probably isn't a wise choice. The fact that you can't even really upgrade them to keep up with times without dropping another pretty penny is annoying. I wouldn't say to settle for a cheap one from a department store, but yeah, getting something much cheaper is reasonable.
 
The most I have ever spent is for my iPhone. I wasn't due for my upgrade yet but just HAD to have the iPhone 4, I was still living in Android land. So I went ahead and paid the full price for it (hence the reason I got the 4 and not 4s, couldn't afford the next model up). It was the greatest money I have spent recently!
 
I would have to say the most I spent (myself), would be $50 on a cellphone. My parents/family buy most of my things like my iPod Touch and Laptop and Monitors. All bought for me :P I'm spoiled! :P haha.
 
My current smartphone, Nokia 5235, is the most spent gadget for me!

There are some other in the wish list, but I do think that it is just the beginning of the most spent gadget!
 
Mine was my laptop, costed me about $500 a couple of years ago. That and my cellphone may be the most expensive gadgets I own :P
 
700 $ on my laptop. I don;t buy a lot of gadgets , not as much as I want :/
 
Dang, you guys are making me feel poor. The most I've spent is $599 when the Playstation 3 launched.
I love gadgets and technology, but I don't own any $1,500 gadgets. I'm a single mom, so I'm always on a budget.
Eventually I will buy an awesome TV because HD TV's seem to get cheaper every year.
